Scott Beckwith's banking career began in 1999 at Timberland Bank. He progressed from management trainee to loan officer to branch manager to commercial lender. After more than ten years at various financial institutions in the South Puget Sound, Scott became a part of the Harborstone team. Joining forces with a quality team was a strong reason for joining Harborstone Credit Union. Scott enjoys working with people to understand their financial needs. This is accomplished by getting to know their objectives and long term plans and then making appropriate recommendations. It is important to get started correctly by properly identifying needs and then working a mutually acceptable plan. Scott has done many types of loans including SBA, Women and Minorities Loans, residential and commercial construction as well as consumer, residential and commercial term loans. His objective is to create a winning experience for the borrower. It's important that the structure of loan benefit the borrower for many years. Taking a look at all factors and aligning member needs with responsible lending is the goal. Scott graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School held at the University of Washington in 2009 and has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Hope College in Holland, MI. He is currently half way through a two year term as Board President of the Downtown Olympia YMCA. He has twice served as the Campaign Chair for the Strong Kids Campaign and held multiple leadership roles. He has received volunteer of the year awards twice. As of July 1, 2011, Scott will be Past-President of the Olympia-Capital Centennial Rotary Club. He has served as Chair Person of the annual Rotary fund raiser each of the past five years. He has been awarded Rotarian of the Year twice. Scott has spent nearly 20 years coaching various youth sports. |
