Community Involvement And Charitable Giving

We believe that, as a member-owned credit union, we are a part of an extended family of members, employees, and the community of the South Puget Sound. We believe that it is important to provide financial and volunteer support to our community to strengthen it for future generations. We believe that through financial education, healthy living, the empowerment of small businesses, and the safekeeping of our military families, we can continue to keep the South Puget Sound a vibrant and wonderful place to live.

As a member-owned credit union, it's important to be inclusive and welcoming to our diverse members. For this reason, we don't provide financial support to religious groups or organizations, political lobbying or campaigns, individuals, organizations practicing unlawful or discriminatory practices, trips or tours, conferences, and team sponsorships.

Financial Literacy and Education

By increasing financial knowledge in our communities, we hope to empower our communities and assist them in achieving economic success, for this generation and the next.

Military Families

We recognize that Harborstone exists because of the support of our military members. We feel that it is a core part of our mission to aid in their success and protect their future.

Community Safety

We believe that strong communities cannot exist without safety. To that end, we support programs and civic organizations that assist in providing for our common security.

Family Health and Welfare

Harborstone exists because of family - the families we serve in our community, and the extended family of members. We support organizations that strengthen these bonds.

Small Business Education

Small businesses are the heart of the community of the South Puget Sound, providing local jobs, local wealth, and opportunities for our members. We support the growth of business.

Capital Campaign

We recognize that strong communities are built over time. So we contribute money to capital building campaigns to fund the construction needs of the types of organizations listed here.
