Scott Beckwith
VP, Business Lending Lead
Scott Beckwith
Scott Beckwith graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington in 2009 and the Northwest Credit Union Business Lending School in 2012. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
Scott has been a commercial lender in the South Puget Sound since 2005. His objective is to create a winning experience for borrowers by using responsible lending practices. This is achieved by getting to know borrowers’ objectives and long-term plans in order to make appropriate recommendations. It is important to get started by properly identifying needs and then working within mutually acceptable plans. Scott has done many types of commercial loans, including SBA 504, SBA 7(a), residential spec, and commercial construction, as well as working capital and term loans for real estate and equipment.
Scott is actively involved in the community, having served as Board President of the Downtown Olympia YMCA and Olympia Capital Centennial Rotary Club. He has also served as the Fundraising Chair for both organizations for many years, and he received volunteer-of-the-year awards from both organizations.
Scott enjoys golfing, running, and family time.

Barb Walz
Cash Management Officer
Barb Walz
Barb was born and raised in Puyallup, Washington, and graduated from Puyallup High School. After graduating from high school, she attended Green River Community College and studied Criminal Justice, specifically Forensic Sciences. However, her path took her into the food service industry, and after years of hard work, Barb opened her own catering business and bartending school in Spokane, Washington.
Barb moved back to the Puget Sound in 2003 and made a change in careers by going into the financial industry. She began as a merchant teller and worked her way up. “I believe you can gain a lot of experience, knowledge, and respect by starting at entry level,” she stated. Barb has been in Cash Management for the last 18 years, but her passion remains the same: helping people whether they are co-workers or clients.
Barb’s late sister, who passed after a long battle with cancer, taught her how to be the best version of herself and that each person makes an impact in the world. She tries every day to live positively-even during challenging times-like her sister did.
When Barb isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 37 years, their daughter, and their two grandsons. She also loves reading true crime and mystery books, listening to music, and spending time at the beach in any weather.
