John Barry, Vice President of Mortgage at Harborstone Credit Union, where he leads the Mortgage Department and the team responsible for helping individuals and families achieve homeownership. With more than 30 years of mortgage industry experience, John brings deep expertise in mortgage lending, operations, team leadership, and the homeownership journey.

John believes homeownership is an important foundation for building generational wealth. His focus is on building a strong, service-driven mortgage team, developing mortgage talent, and continually improving the lending experience for Harborstone members—from first-time homebuyers to those moving up or downsizing.

John is also a board member of the Washington State Affordable Housing Advisory Board, where he contributes to efforts that expand access to affordable housing. He particularly enjoys hearing the success stories of individuals and families achieving homeownership.
